A new bagel place? Say no more. I’ll be there.
In my continuing effort to follow my grief counselor’s advice and 1. get out of the house and 2. make time for a hobby that may connect me with others, I decided to go to the new bagel place in Port St Lucie West. (My mom lived in Port St. Lucie and I am trying to empty out her house and get it ready for sale.)
I was up at 6:30 am and lucky for me, Brooklyn Water Bagels opens at 6 am!
I walked in and there was no one there. Like no one-no one. I had to hoot and holler until finally someone came to the front.
I asked for an Everything Bagel with scallion cream cheese. Growing up on Long Island, we had wild scallions in the back yard. We would pick them and then my mom would mix them up in plain cream cheese. I really love scallions.
I also ordered a coffee and the smallest size they have is 16 ounces. That is a lot of coffee!! I got the dark roast and honestly, it was pretty shit coffee. So no points for that.
But that bagel? It was fantastic! I was very happy. Forgot to take a pic. But very happy. Welcome to the Pizzle, Brooklyn Water Bagels!
